Paul and I are over Youth Conference for our ward and this year was the Stakes turn and they did Trek. We didn't think that we would be involved this year but they asked us to be the Ma and Pa for our kids in our ward. We were really excited about it... except for the dressing up part :)

This was the Womens Pull.... I'm glad that they had us do this... it's such a cool experience! It was VERY hard but cool to have all the men standing on the sides, silent and watching. It makes you have a lot more appreciation for these Pioneers that actually had to do it.

This was our group. They were a fun group of kids!

This was the view at the end of our Trek, the whole Salt Lake Valley. When we reached the top they give the kids letters that their parents had written them and then we all sat up there in silence for a little bit looking at the view. It was a very spiritual experience.

In July, I got Avery and I season passes to Seven Peaks. We went every week for most of the summer and Avery LOVED it! She also got black, which I was jealous about :) I didn't take any pics of the times that we were there and I'm so mad at myself for that!! Next year, right??!!
Paul's Birthday is the 4th of July and this year he turned 29! His mom, sisters and I threw him a surprise party that we knew would totally thrown him off!! And it did!! Again, SO mad at myself for not taking any pictures! It was a fun night! His mom did a big Road Ralley and we all split up in teams and did a big scavenger hunt across town. After a few of us went to Boonedocks and did some mini golf and drove the race cars! This was the only pic I got :(

The week of the 24th of July we had a week long camping trip to Jackson, Wyoming and Bear Lake. While at Jackson we went rafting down the Snake River, which is a first for me. I was totally freaked out of falling in while we were going over rapids but thank goodness it never happend.... it was after the rapids that my lovely husband decided to push me over. I actually was really mad about it.. ha ha.. it was FREEZING!! They had professionals on the sides taking pictures as your boat was going over the rapids and I couldn't figure out how to steal them and put them on here :) Sorry!! They were pretty dang funny!
Here are the pics of Bear Lake:

This was Avery the whole time on the boat! She had to stand and no one could touch her!! She just LOVED the wind and looking at all the water! :)

I just thought this picture was cute...

One of my favorite parts of camping at Bear Lake is sitting around the fire while eating your Raspberry Shake!!

I just wanted to throw in a picture or two of Avery cuz she's so pretty..
I'm saying, "Where is Avery?"

"There she is!!"

Paul's mom and dad bought a tent trailer this summer so we went on a little weekend camping trip with them to Payson Lakes. We had fun playing games and eating good food!!

Avery giving kisses to her daddy through the tent trailer window :)

One sad thing we did this summer was sell our Nissan Altima. This was once my husbands baby.. before Avery or I came along. I had so many memories in this car, but to cut down on bills we needed to sell it. I've never cried to hard for multiple days in a row over a car. Ha ha!! Now that I have some extra dough in my pocket, I'm not so sad anymore :)

Labor Day Weekend was spent at Lake Powell! This time it was done differently than normal. We camped it!! Normally we stay in hotels but since my in laws bought a tent trailer we stayed out in nature :) The water was absolutly wonderful! We joked about us all getting old because no one hardly did any of the fun things in the water. We just drove around in the boat most of the time keeping the kids asleep and exploring the canyons.

Beautiful girl

My dad also had a birthday. He turned 51 and my family went to Midway for a night. We had lots of fun considering it was only a one night thing.

Relaxing after a hot tennis match :)

This was hilarious because my dad and brother were hurting so bad!! Look at their faces... I was laughing so hard because of the things that were coming out of their mouths... that I won't repeat.

We had some awesome chicken fights and good pics of them but they aren't downloading for some reason. Sorry.
Last but not least... FAMILY PICTURES!! I thought they turned out cute! (I'm now just realizing that some of the pictures didn't download either. So, here are the ones that did.)
